Ensuring a positive start to life at EPS

At Elliminyt Primary School, we understand that even though the first days of Prep are exciting, it can also be quite a nervous time for students and parents. To help students become more familiar with their new school environment we offer an extensive Transition Program that commences the previous year to your child starting school.

Our Prep Transition Program includes an information evening for parents where they hear from our Principal and Prep teacher(s).

We also conduct a ‘Story Time’ program where the children visit in small groups for an hour at a time to begin the familiarisation process with the school environment.

We also conduct a whole day Transition Day in December when children come to school to ‘practise’ for a day. This takes place in their confirmed grade groups and with the teacher they will have for their Prep year. This is always a day well spent, with children going away feeling confident and happy about transitioning to school.

To enrol your child at Elliminyt Primary School you will need to fill out an Enrolment Application Form and provide the relevant documentation.  This form can be found in the ‘Forms and Policies’ section of our website, or you can contact us for an Enrolment package.

Once we have received your completed enrolment form, the school will contact you via email or post regarding the next steps of the process.

Appointments may be made at any time to tour the school with the Principal.
Please do not hesitate to contact our friendly office staff to make an appointment or if you have any queries.
